After watching my video on my “5 Interview Questions,” there were positives and areas where growth could take place. For an interview to be efficient certain aspects should be covered. An interviewee should be concise, display competency, stay connected to the target industry, and still be compelling to its audience. As I watched my video, one thing I thought was great was my ability to be concise, and straight to the point. My responses were not too long, but contained enough substance to satisfy the interviewer. As far as my display of competency in the video, I think I did the best to my ability. Improvements can be made in this area. Those improvements will be made if I take the initiative and prepare myself with examples in advance of how I show communication, technical literacy, professional or personal management, critical thinking/problem-solving or innovation/creativity. Another positive in this video is my skill to stay connected to the target industry. With my examples in the video, I used personal stories from jobs in the medical field, such as volunteering at the hospital and working as a certified nursing assistant. I do think improvements will be made in this area as experiences are made through job opportunities and internships. Lastly, my favorite part, the compelling to your audience part. I always think I do so great at this part. I love smiling and interacting with the audience. As I tell my past experiences, I like for every emotion I go through to be receptive to the audience. When I was happy I want my audience to be happy, and when I am sad I want them to feel that emotion too.
